The Goulburn Murray LLEN in partnership with the Better Together Alliance Schools, School Focused Youth Service and GOTAFE Shepparton developed a program targeted at Year 10 students who are at risk of disengaging from mainstream school.
The program aims to encourage students to stay engaged at School by sparking a career aspiration – through providing taster activities and pathway advice, preparing students for work experience and delivering the Construction Induction Card.
Students will try their hands at a range of trades including, electrical, automotive, plumbing, building and construction; which includes their Construction Induction card, the requirement for students to be able to undertake work experience on a construction site.
